“I grew up watching my mother and grandmother braid hair like it was a conversation between their hands and the crown they were styling. That's what I learned: braiding isn't just technique. I started Braids by Liz because I wanted to create a space where people feel seen, heard, and celebrated. Where a young kid can feel powerful in cornrows. Where a woman can walk out with a style that feels like armor and poetry at the same time. Where every braid honors who you are.
